Walmart Canada sold its banking division, which needed a distinct, new brand. Ove was tasked with developing a strategic platform, name, logo and visual identity system. The strategy work uncovered what makes the bank unique: a distinct culture built to help businesses connect with their customers. The goal: to deliver solutions designed to deepen customer loyalty and grow sales. This informed the name, visual identity system and website. The spirit of partnership was integral to the brand expression and comes through everything from the dual lines in the logo to the photography style and bold, friendly colours.
My contributions included:
- Design and development of the logo
- Overseeing the creative development of the brand expression including typography, imagery, colour and graphic device; ensuring alignment with strategy
- Leading the development of brand guidelines
- Leading the design of the website, collaborating with design and dev teams
